Michael Garcia is Fannie Mae’s Vice President – Development Services. Reporting to the Enterprise CIO, Garcia is responsible for creating stakeholder support for end-to-end development services and growing relationships with key certified partners. He oversees and reports on the progress of a significant portfolio of projects and initiatives, including adoption of Agile practices, project/portfolio management, full service development, testing, software configuration management, release management, automation and core enterprise capabilities including DevOps (Development Operations) tools.
Garcia joined Fannie Mae in 2013. While running the global infrastructure and operations department for RealNetworks, Garcia was responsible for launching carrier-grade products and spinning out major segments of technology into new business. He has led technology solutions involving AOL, RealNetworks, the Federal Aviation Administration, Verizon, GEICO, and others. Garcia has been the technology leader in two start-ups and has run his own consulting firm, Edge Source LLC.
Garcia has a bachelor of science in economics from Strayer University and a master in business administration from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
