Michael P. Carr

As a principal in Vanguard Information Technology, Michael Carr leads a team that provides application development and maintenance for Vanguard's Retail Investor Group and Financial Advisor Services. Since joining Vanguard in 1998, he has he held other leadership positions within Information Technology and Vanguard Corporate Strategy Group.

Before joining Vanguard, Michael was a director in Bell Atlantic’s IT division, leading software development efforts focused on customer care and computer telephony integration. He began his career at PPL Electric, where he performed probabilistic risk assessments for their nuclear department.

Michael earned a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and attended The Wharton School’s Advanced Management Program.
